I know there was a recent post about clutch adjustment, but my question is slightly different.
The clutch was replaced approx 4 months ago by a friend of my son's who no longer lives in the area. The clutch has been performing well without any problems.
However, it would appear that the clutch needs a little adjustment.
I have started to notice that the clutch is not disengaging fully when the pedal is all the way to the floor. So some adjustment appears to be necessary.
I am aware of how to adjust the clutch using the plastic "nut" on the outer sheath of the clutch cable, however, I think this would simply raise the pedal, which is already quite high, in my opinion.
There is also a screwed "fitting", which is cross shaped, on the end of the cable, which would change the effective length of the cable.
Is there an adjustment procedure that takes into account adjustments to both these points to give the best possible solution.
Any advice would be appreciated.
